Tell People Why They Should Hire You as Their Real Estate Agent

A large part of internet marketing involves marketing yourself as a real estate agent. Too many businesses think the sole purpose of a website is to sell a product or service. In reality, you are marketing your brand. Marketing your brand requires informing prospective clients how you and your real estate services benefit them. How can you use your website to market yourself as an agent and what information should you provide?

List the Benefits

Post content that provides the answers to the following questions.

Why does hiring a real estate agent give prospective clients an advantage?
How does your expertise/experience benefit them?
What type of real estate services do you provide?
What types of decisions will you help prospective clients make?
What is your mission?
What areas do you specialize in?
Have you won any awards?
Are you certified? (List all certifications)
What geographical area do you specialize in?
How much experience do you have?
How do you help a prospective client buy/sell a property?

List Information

Frequently post information that is beneficial, relevant and current. Post information about your geographical area and expertise. Provide figures, statistics, trends and information related to your real estate services as well as anything else that may be of benefit to your clients.

Offer Advice

First time home buyers and sellers are nervous about the buying/selling process. Provide helpful information about what each process entails and what to expect. Also include information that the prospective client should be ready to share with you to make the buying/selling process smoother and more productive.

Buyers: What are their priorities? What do they want? Where do they want to live and how much do they want to spend? Let them know this information will aid you in finding the perfect property for them.

Sellers: What are the properties best features and qualities? Are there any aesthetic improvements that should be made? (Painting, etc.) This information allows you to market their property using its best features and selling points.

As a prospective client, what other information do you look for when searching for an agent to work with? As an agent, what strategies have and have not worked when it comes to marketing yourself and your services?

Promote MLS Real Estate Listings and Gain Client Interaction

There are several reasons why you want people to read your emails even if they are not in the market at the moment to buy/sell a property or retain your real estate services.

The number one reason for establishing your email marketing campaign is to drive traffic to your website. Your emails will contain a link to your website where information about you, your agency and your real estate services are available in abundance.

Getting Potential Clients to Read Your Emails

First, what are you typing into your subject line? If you are promoting a service or MLS real estate listings to a targeted audience, then say so directly.

Also, it’s important to keep your emails consistent. Information must also be beneficial to the client and never waiver from quality. The purpose of your email marketing campaign is to gain a healthy interaction between your agency and your clients.

What’s even better is providing an email so beneficial that those on your email list forward it along to others.

Content

Providing the right content can get your recipients to open and read your emails. When sending out information of promotions or MLS real estate listings, include free beneficial information related to the promotion.

If the basis of your email is to educate your audience, advertise your agency and your real estate services within the content.

Also, issue a survey, provide an easy way for clients to give feedback, promote a competition or include reviews or the latest polls. These are great ways to promote interaction.

Video

Some email marketers have gotten creative with their email campaigns. Sending a video is especially effective with younger clients. Use humor to get people interested and entice them to send more people your way.

Do not include the video in the email, but post it on your site. Include a link to the video in your email along with a catchy description and other beneficial information.

This way if a client doesn’t click your link they will still have received something of value.

Successful Real Estate Agents Define Target Demographics Online

When it comes to demographics, there is quite a bit of criteria to choose from. Find out who is using the internet to search for real estate services and information and use it to your advantage. First, you need to stick to marketing towards people who need your real estate services. Secondly, choose your demographics wisely and format your online advertising methods to attract those very people.

Before deciding on a demographic, it is important to know which ones are out there and available to you.

Income: Many real estate agents define their demographics based on income. Income ranges among families, towns and regions. Decide on whether you want to market to someone looking to buy/sell a single family home or one that is in the multi-million dollar range.

Net Worth: This is similar to income. Potential clients with different net worth’s will fit into different markets and niches. Clients with different net worth’s generally require different real estate services.

Age: People of all ages are in the market to buy/sell homes. Age comes with many factors including financial. How much do your potential clients have to spend and how much are they willing to spend? Also, age plays a large role in determining where someone chooses to live such as close to the center of the city or in a gated retirement community.

Marital Status: This demographic is not as popular as others. Many couples live together without being married or may even live in different regions altogether, making this demographic more difficult to market to. When marketing to this demographic keep these things in mind. Are they looking for a bachelor pad to throw parties (single) or a single family home (couples)?

Children: Potential clients with children are in a market of their own. Schools, crime rates, location, dwelling type and community are factors that often come into play with this demographic.

Geography: Geography has much to do with regions, areas of the city and neighborhoods. This demographic can include clients looking for a place on the beach, suburbs, hubs, country, etc.

Dwelling Type: This includes clients looking for different types of dwellings such as single family homes, mansions, beach houses, commercial property, ranches, town houses, etc.

More than one demographic may be combined when choosing which demographic to market to online.
